Offloading
Remote DDoS-Protection - On-Premise Offloading
Traffic Offloading
On-Premise Offloading offers the ability to offload appliance mitigated traffic onto the aurologic network. aurologic flowAnalyzer is able to automatically inject prefixes, with a specific bgp community, into customer network equipment, effectively removing announcements to regular IP-Transit carriers, while re-routing the related prefix beforehand onto aurologic Remote DDoS-Protection. By doing so, volumetric attacks overhelming available on-premise capacity, being automatically mitigated within the aurologic network.
Offloaded prefixes having the same subset of customer defined configuration such as flow- and flexrules available while operating in offload mode.
Benefit
- High Volume Anycast DDoS-Protection turned-up within less than 10 seconds, offloading your network while avoiding RTBH
- Available through GRE Tunnel or IP-Transit Port in selected on-net locations
- Use your existing network paths and commitments
flowTrack
Customers can integrate a dedicated flowTrack instance into their network, replicating valid client sessions in real-time to aurologic. Replication happens over an UDP Stream towards aurologic infrastructure, either over the internet or with a direct connection towards aurologic (available in on-net datacenters). In order to integrate flowTrack, customers need to setup a server matching the technical specifications as discussed during the project onboarding phase, while replicating egress traffic towards flowTrack, e.g. by using SPAN.
Benefit
- Session Awareness avoids connection cuts during rerouting, typically in asymmetric mode
- Symmetric Routing without sending all traffic over aurologic, allowing to use existing network paths
