Upfront Payment
Dedicated Server Upfront Payment
Due to ongoing fluctuations in hardware pricing, limited availability, and extended procurement lead times for the latest server hardware generations, aurologic requires an upfront payment deposit before placing the corresponding hardware order for orders received after 23th June 2026.
This deposit is not an additional charge. The full amount is credited to your customer account and will be applied towards subsequent service invoices during the first months of operation until the deposited balance has been consumed.
As newly released hardware platforms often experience supply constraints, allocation limits, and short-term price changes, this policy enables us to secure the required equipment promptly and reserve procurement capacity for your deployment. This ensures predictable delivery timelines while allowing us to continue offering access to the latest available server technologies.
Calculation Example
For a server priced at €239 per month with a one-time setup fee of €199, an upfront deposit of €836.50 is required. Consequently, a total amount of €1,035.50 (€836.50 deposit plus €199 setup fee) is payable when placing the order. The deposit will be credited to the customer account and applied towards future recurring invoices.
Does that increase the monthly pricing?
This approach allows us to continue offering current-generation server hardware at attractive monthly rates, particularly for long-term deployments. Based on our market analysis, we remain highly competitive in terms of both pricing and performance, often providing a more favorable price-to-performance ratio than providers with significantly higher recurring fees.
How does that relate to instant servers?
We do not require an upfront payment deposit for Instant Servers. These systems have typically been in service for a longer period of time and have already reached their planned depreciation or cost recovery period.
As the underlying hardware investment has already been recovered, applying an additional upfront payment requirement would not be appropriate. For this reason, Instant Servers remain available without any upfront deposit while continuing to benefit from the same transparent and predictable monthly pricing structure.
Whats next?
We intend to discontinue this policy once market conditions improve and hardware supply chains return to a more stable state.
Since Q4/2025, procurement costs for key server components, particularly NVMe storage and memory, have increased significantly. These market developments have led many providers to substantially increase their recurring service fees, in some cases by several hundred percent compared to previous pricing levels.
The temporary upfront payment requirement allows us to mitigate the impact of these market fluctuations while maintaining stable and competitive monthly pricing for our customers.
